The consortium focuses on course equivalencies
The Commission on Colleges and Universities describes a Transfer Credit Consortium in which faculty develop shared learning outcomes and general education course equivalencies. Participation is voluntary, and institutions retain curriculum and recognition authority. It is neither an accreditation requirement nor an operative nationwide transfer list.
Interest is not a completed agreement
In a November 2 interview with Stephen Pruitt, Inside Higher Ed reports interest from more than 230 institutions and faculty framework work planned for November. The scope of recognition remains under discussion; expressions of interest are not signed or implemented agreements.
Keep the evidence needed for transfer review
Taiwan students considering US transfer, exchange or cross-registration should retain syllabi, learning outcomes, assessment details and transcripts, and request written recognition decisions. This report concerns a voluntary consortium, separate from accreditation regulations. The Middle Georgia State library photograph does not establish membership in the consortium.
