What the Budget announces
The UK government’s October 28 Budget proposes two-year Graduate visas for graduates of highly compliant universities with strong labour-market outcomes. The PIE corroborates the announcement in its same-day bylined report. This is an announced direction, not a rule already applying universally.
Two years does not mean every university
The PIE reports that eligible institutions, the definitions of compliance and employment outcomes, and the connection to existing compliance assessments remain unclear. It places the announcement against the previously planned reduction to 18 months from 2027. A Budget headline cannot determine an individual visa duration.

Editorial guidance: retain program and admission information and check the eventual immigration rules and eligibility list before budgeting for employment. The Westminster archive photograph illustrates UK higher education; it does not identify an eligible institution.
