A total pool before provider allocations
An October 29 ministerial release sets the 2027 Commonwealth Supported Places pool at 624,590, up 23,000. It says individual provider allocations will follow the next month. The total does not establish any particular university’s increase.

That independent analysis supplies context; the October announcement confirms the figure. Campus Review reports the same total, but its weekday description differs from the official date; this report uses the dated official release.
