The list of activities allows the university to understand you outside the classroom. In the original version, Peter cautioned against using applications as a peg-filled competition, but rather about how he/she allocates time, takes on work and builds growth.

Ten at most, not minimum.

The Common App official activity guide clearly states that a maximum of 10 entries can be filled, but do not need to be filled. The official first year application guide also lists work, interests, associations, community participation and other responsibilities, reminding students of their practical experience.

The Tufts Admission Office offers other examples of home care, housework, translation assistance, work, art and autonomy. This support activity is not limited to the understanding of the title in the school, and it cannot be deduced that either experience is necessarily better than the other.

Sort first and see input.

Peter suggested prioritizing the time invested, the level of initiative, the specific impact and the connection to the narrative of the application. The first should allow readers to understand what you value, not just whether the name is loud or not. This is a writing proposal, not a student rating formula.

Description with action, object and result

Write about what you have done, and then tell the clients about what you can prove. Peter reminds us not to collect numbers for what looks like. In the absence of precise statistics, the frequency, output and changes can be described as such. The number of hours and weeks should also be completed on the basis of actual inputs.

How can a family help?

First, all experiences are listed, then elements that are repetitive or without substantive input are deleted. Parents can assist the child in reminiscent of neglected care responsibilities, work and long-term interest, rather than temporarily entering the camp or certification before applying.

Peter's focus is that after removing a pretty name, he can still clearly explain what he has done and who he has created value for. An honest presentation in accordance with the requirements of each school is more meaningful than packaging itself in a fixed quantity.
