AUT’s North Asia scholarships are open for Semester 1 2027 and expressly include Taiwan. First-year tuition support is NZD 10,000 for undergraduate study and NZD 7,000 for eligible master’s programmes and postgraduate certificates or diplomas leading to a master’s. Doctoral study is excluded.
Obtain an offer, then apply separately for the scholarship
Applicants must be new, full-fee international students with a valid conditional or unconditional 2027 offer, studying full-time in a programme of at least 120 points. Prepare your AUT student ID, offer, transcripts with grading information and graduation evidence as specified in the application form.
The current Semester 1 deadline is 22 November 2026, or earlier if allocations fill. The regulations list 23 May 2027 for Semester 2. This listing concerns the open Semester 1 round; applicants without an offer have not yet met all conditions.
Award scope and budgeting
Byron’s cross-university comparison identifies this as a separately applied-for, competitive tuition award and distinguishes it from accommodation support. Editorial guidance: budget for remaining tuition, housing and living costs, then check new-student eligibility and restrictions on combining AUT tuition awards.
