Peter reminded Canadian families to move to school in 2027 to list high school nominations, university applications and scholarship documents as three different nodes.

In order to obtain scholarships and wait for admission to study, earlier in-school procedures may be missed. Peter, using the example of Lester B. Pearson International Scholark, University of Toronto, reminds families to first find out who is in charge of the senior high school nomination, whether there is a school selection and whether there is a school deadline.
First in high school.
Pearson requires nominations from the upper secondary school, each of which can nominate only one student per year. This is different from the awards that are automatically considered in the examination of admissions. Students should voluntarily inform teachers of their plans and confirm whether schools are involved in the nomination process.
2027 Three Nodes of Enrolment
This is the official list: the deadline for the nomination of the senior high school on 9 October 2026, the deadline for the application for university admission for the completion of this scholarship on 16 October, and the deadline for the application and documentation of the scholarship on 6 November. This is Pearson's arrangement, not a common cut-off date for all applicants at the school. In-school selections may be earlier, and official notices should be re-examined at the time of delivery and in the time zone.
When a student is nominated, he or she receives a link to the application for a scholarship and must complete his or her application for admission to a university in order to complete the scholarship form. Eligible international students include students in the last year of the high school year of 2026/27, who graduated in June 2026 or not earlier, and who have to start their studies in September 2027. Full eligibility will continue to be determined by the school.
Peter's Planning Reminder
This week, students are given an appointment with a teacher to confirm the nomination process; Parents, together with their children, list options that are affordable without financial support. Scholarships are part of the promotion strategy, and competitive funding cannot be considered an established income.
Peter is concerned not only with seeking opportunities, but with knowing who handles each step, what information is needed, and how to retain options for different outcomes.
