"Does a nursing degree make it possible to become a registered nurse in Australia? Peter reminds parents that they cannot consider university admission, graduation and RN registration as the same thing. Prior to the comparison course, the four doors would be separated in order to know what each stage would need to be prepared.
First level: University enrolment
School applications are reviewed on the basis of academic qualifications, prior education, achievement and English. To confirm that they are using Taiwan ' s high school, OSSD, IB or other educational qualifications, Taiwan students cannot directly use an ATAR number as a common threshold for all international applicants.
In the case of UQ Bachelor of Nursing, the official international student page is included as a three-year course. Tuition fees for the reference year 2027 are A$48,080 and the actual costs vary according to class loads and annual adjustments; Parents are also charged additional expenses related to living, insurance and internships.
Second level: conformity of courses with the registration route
Ahpra explained that the curriculum, which had been approved by the National Board of the category, had enabled graduates to apply for registration. The names of the actual courses and their approvals should be found at the time of selection, and it is not only the existence of a nursing college at the school.
The UQ course page contains information on the Australan Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council, with a clear reminder that graduates are still required to register with Ahpra. Course certification is a key information but not an alternative to automatic practice status.
Third level: clinical internships and related preparations
Nursing education includes clinical training. UQ indicates that students enter clinical practice starting in the first year, with longer periods of internship being arranged later; Internship places and shifts also affect living arrangements.
The Government also lists possible expenses for CPR, first aid, verification, uniforms, vaccines and testing, as well as transportation and living expenses to the places where the internship takes place. Students should be given early confirmation of the documentation and time required for completion, and family budgets should retain space for practical training.
Fourth level: official registration after graduation
The Ahpra graduates ' registration statement requires applicants to meet the criteria of their National Board and includes matters such as criminal record, English proficiency and professional liability insurance. The registration review is still to be completed in order to meet the academic graduation requirements.
Enrolment in English must be checked separately from enrolment in English. In particular, Ahpra reminds that nursing and midwifery providers are not covered; The English language route for other medical categories should not be introduced directly. Each person has a different learning background and should read the current standards for the nursing category, rather than simply asking " whether graduation from Australia is always exempted " .
Peter's planning proposal: From high school, it's the whole road.
Four columns are available for students who wish to go to Australasia to study for care: conditions for admission, approval of courses, preparation for internships, and registration for graduation. Each column is accompanied by an official link and confirmation date, and an uncertain item is sent to the school or the competent authority as a problem.
Parents can also estimate tuition fees separately from the cost of internships. It is easy to ignore what is still to be done on the way if the choice of a school is based only on the idea of being a RN after graduation; It is only by looking at the four doors that it is possible to assess whether this path is suitable for the child.
