26 September update: applications are open for eligible courses
Oxford has opened applications for some 2027/28 graduate courses. This page has therefore been changed from “Opening soon” to “Open”. Clarendon has no nationality or ordinary-residence restrictions. Taiwanese applicants may apply for a new master’s degree or DPhil if they meet the course entry requirements.
Submit a complete admission application by the December or January funding deadline for your course to be considered automatically, without a separate scholarship form. Courses may open at different times; check your chosen course page.
Funding and exclusions
Funding covers course fees. Full-time scholars receive a living-cost grant; part-time scholars receive a course-dependent study-support grant. Funding normally covers the period of fee liability, excluding subsequent continuation charges. The official page still gives a prior-year stipend example, which is not a guaranteed 2027/28 amount.
Holders of deferred graduate offers and current students continuing the same degree are not eligible through this new-degree application route. Eligibility does not guarantee an award.
A course example and Taiwan time
The official 2027/28 DPhil in Interdisciplinary Life and Environmental Science page shows both full-time and part-time applications as open, with a deadline of 6 January 2027 at 12:00 noon UK time, equivalent to 20:00 in Taiwan . This is an example for that course, not a university-wide deadline.
Editorial advice: confirm the research focus, required documents and funding deadline, then plan time for references. Do not wait until a later general admissions deadline to seek scholarship consideration.
