Prepare for the early deadline for 2027 entry
Students planning UK undergraduate entry in 2027 should not assume all applications can wait until January. On 25 September we checked UCAS dates against Oxford's admissions timeline: applications to Oxford, Cambridge and most medicine, dentistry and veterinary courses must be submitted by 18:00 UK time on 15 October 2026 。
This is a reminder of an established deadline, not a newly announced earlier deadline or a date shared by all UK courses.
Keep the two main deadlines separate
- Early-deadline courses: UK time 15 October 2026, 18:00 , equivalent to Taiwan time 16 October 01:00 。
- Equal-consideration deadline for most other undergraduate courses: UK time 13 January 2027, 18:00 , equivalent to Taiwan time 14 January 02:00 。
The Taiwan conversions differ because the UK observes summer time in mid-October and standard time in January. Check each UCAS course page for its deadline and any exceptions.
Oxford has additional requirements
Oxford's 2027 admissions timeline also requires applicants to check whether an admissions test is needed; some courses require written work by 10 November . These requirements have separate procedures. Submitting UCAS does not complete them, and test registration is not automatic.
UCAS and Oxford are separate organisations. We cross-checked the central application timetable with an admitting university's procedures.
Impact on families in Taiwan
Our advice: list target courses, deadlines, tests and references together. Ask your school about its earlier internal processing deadline rather than waiting until the last moment in Taiwan. Applicants and schools should check all required materials and procedures; early submission does not guarantee admission.
