The U.K. University of Birmingham and Hong Kong Metropolis University (HKMU) signed an international education agreement on September 7, 2026. The agreement is expected to come from 2027 years Up, connect HKMU's BBA in World Business students to Birmingham Law School's LLB Commercial Law.

Two paths to different career directions.

According to the official note, students can choose two different connecting starting points depending on whether they wish to develop in the UK or Hong Kong in the future. The agreement was published as an arrangement between a specific HKMU course and Birmingham Law degree, not all international students being automatically transferred.

Meaning to Taiwan students and parents

In comparing the cross-country bridging courses, Taiwan students are required to confirm the starting course, the creditable credits, the final award of a degree, the place of study, the total cost and the determination of professional qualifications. If HKMU BBA in World Business were not among the students, this agreement alone cannot be presumed to be compatible.
