大學攝影課程通常同時包含影像製作、攝影史與理論、analog／digital workflow、multimedia、展覽與個人創作。重點不是器材，而是你如何用影像表達、研究與溝通。
一、主要會讀什麼
NYU Tisch Photography & Imaging BFA 以 making and understanding images 為核心，涵蓋 analog、digital photo-based image making、multimedia、新媒體與 post-photographic 3D simulation。第一年也包括 Photography & Imaging、Culture/History/Imaging、Contemporary Imaging Practice 等課程。
二、跟 Film Production 差在哪
Photography 更重單張或影像系列、攝影語言、展覽與 visual research；Film Production 則更重時間性敘事、劇組分工、聲音與剪輯。
三、跟 Graphic / Visual Communication 差在哪
攝影以 image-making 為核心；Visual Communication 則更廣，可能包含 typography、graphic systems、branding、information design 與 digital communication。

五、申請前怎麼準備
Photography BFA 常要求 creative portfolio。NYU Tisch 明確要求 Photography & Imaging 申請者透過 SlideRoom 提交 creative materials，因此高中階段應開始建立有主題、有系列感的作品，而不是只挑「最好看的照片」。
