Human-Computer Interaction 研究人怎麼使用科技，以及數位產品、介面與服務如何被設計得更有效、更容易理解、更符合人的需求。
一、主要會讀什麼
Carnegie Mellon 的 HCI 大學學士建立在 Computer Science 核心上，包括 programming、algorithms、systems 與 mathematics，再加入 interaction design、user research、prototyping 與 interdisciplinary capstone。
二、跟 Computer Science 差在哪
CS 重點是系統與計算本身；HCI 更常問「人怎麼使用這個系統、介面怎麼設計、怎麼驗證使用者需求」。
三、跟純 Design 差在哪
HCI 通常需要更多 research methods、testing、data 與 technical literacy；視覺設計只是其中一部分。
四、適合什麼學生

五、申請前怎麼準備
如果目標課程隸屬 Computer Science，數學與程式要求可能很高；若隸屬 Design school，則可能更重作品集。申請前一定要確認 HCI 是 primary major、specialisation、minor 還是 postgraduate programme。
