Human-Computer Interaction examines how technology is used by people and how digital products, interfaces and services are designed more effectively, understand better and more responsive to human needs.

I. What do you read mainly?

The HCI B.A. of Carnegie Mellon is based on the Core Science core, which includes programming, algorithms, systems and mathematics, adding interming design, user research, prototyping and interdisciplinary capstone.

Where's the difference with Computer Science?

CS focuses on the system and the calculation itself; HCI often asks, "How people use the system, how interfaces are designed, how users' needs are validated."

What's the difference with Pure Design?

HCI usually requires more research methods, testing, data and technical expertise; Visual design is only part of it.

IV. What students are suitable for?

V. PREPARATION FOR APPLICATION

Mathematics and program requirements may be high if the target course is part of the Computer Science; If you're part of Design School, you'll probably have a bigger collection. Before applying, HCI must be confirmed whether it is Primary Major, Specialisation, Minor or Postgraduate program.
