Hospitality、Tourism、Events 雖然相近，但課程重點不同。真正好的課程會把 management、technology、innovation、sustainability、data 與實際產業經驗放在一起。
一、Hospitality、Tourism、Events 怎麼分？
- Hospitality：飯店、餐飲、resort、service operations、revenue 與 customer experience。
- Tourism：destination management、tourism policy、travel industry、sustainable tourism。
- Events：活動設計、場地、production、sponsorship 與 event operations。
二、實習與 placement 很重要
Surrey 的 International Hospitality and Tourism Management 提供 Professional Training placement 選項，也可 study abroad。這類科系若只有課堂而沒有產業實務，學生應特別比較。
三、適合什麼學生？
喜歡人際互動、服務設計、國際環境、活動與企業營運，而且能處理高壓與跨文化溝通的人。
四、高中怎麼準備？
通常不需要像工程那樣嚴格的理科 prerequisite，但英文、商業、數學與溝通能力都有幫助。若有飯店、活動、旅遊、餐飲或服務業經驗，也能幫助你確認是否真的喜歡這個產業。
