Prosthetics is designed and assembled for amputees; Orthotics supports, corrects or improves the functioning of the body through the use of corrective devices. This is a highly clinical, engineering and human science cross-section.

Common features include anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, materias, gait anlysis, prosthetic and orthotic design, clinical assessment, device fabriation, patient manage and research methods.
Two, and Biomedical Engineering.
Biomedical Engineering, more broadly, is possible to be amaging, medical decies, signaturels, biomateriels; Prosthetics & Orthotics are directed to individual patients for assessment, design, production, assembly and tracking.

IV. PURPOSE OF APPLICATION
This is the department of professional registration, which must be certified and certified. Strathclyde's four-year BSc has two long clinical internships and has been accredited by HCPC and ISPO.
