Neuroscience is a highly cross-cutting life science that brings together biology, physiology, chemistry, psychology, data anallysis and general methods to study how the brain and nervous system produce feelings, behaviors, memories and diseases.
I. What do you read mainly?
UCL Neuroscience BSc starts with molecula, quellular, systems neeuroscience and joins Laboratory, Research, analtic and general techaniques; UC San Diego's neuroscence socialization also combines math, programming, cognition science with neuroscence.
ii. Where are Neuroscience and Psychologic / Cognitive Science?
Neuroscence prefers biologic mechanisms, brain curcuits, physiology and laborary science; Psychology behaviour, cognition and psychological methods; Cognitive Science crosses Psychology, Linguistics, Computer Science, Philosophy and Neuroscience.
III. EQUIPMENT OF STUDENTS
- Interest in brain, nerve, disease and behavior.
- Like Biology and Chemistry
- Be willing to be lab, data anlysis and research
- Do not exclude Mathematics or programming
IV. How to prepare for high school
Biology, Chemistry is usually the most important, and Mathematics/Physics/Psychology is often accepted or preferred. UCL 2026 entry's Neuroscence BSc specifically requests Chemistry, plus one Biology, Life and Health Science, Mathematics or Physics.
