What do you read mainly?
Forensic Science BSc of Derby consists of crime scene investigation, forensitization chemistry, evidence analysis, laboratory work, courtroom presentation and physical training, and is recognized by Chartered Society of Foreign Science.
What kind of student?
- You like Chemistry / Biology and you're interested in law and evidence.
- They are willing to do experiments, records, quality control and fine analysis.
- It is possible to accept the scientific approach of "evidence may not support the original hypothesis".
Forensic Science, Criminology, Chemistry?
Forensic Science Heavy material evidence and scientific analysis; Criminology Research on crime, institutions, society and behaviour; Chemistry / Biology It's basic science. It's more widely applied than forensic.
How do you prepare for high school?
- Get Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics first.
- Some of the courses will explicitly require Biology or Chemistry.
- The school is chosen by looking at laboratory, crime scene justice, placement, accreditation instead of only the name of the course.
Common career
Forensic Scientist、Crime Scene Investigator、Forensic Laboratory Analyst、Toxicology / Chemistry Lab、Fingerprint / Evidence Support、Quality and Compliance roles。 Actual positions are usually also affected by regional government, police or laboratory qualification requirements.
