Epidemiology does not study only infectious diseases, but uses research design, statistics and demographic data to understand diseases, risk factors and health outcomes. The most important thing for high school students is that many university bachelors do not necessarily have independent Epidemiology major, but are placed in PeopleHealth, Health Science, or Public Health.
I. What do you read mainly?
Common content is the evaluation of medical and public health interventions. The University Health University's Bachelor's degree placed epidemiology in the same four-year structure as biological, environmental, social, bivioural determinants of health. McGill’s Epidemiology Department highlights the importance of emidemiologic concepts, biostatistics and humanism health research.

(a) Public Health is a much larger field, possibly involving health policy, health protection, environmental health, global health, community health, etc.; Epidemiology is one of the core methodological areas, focusing on “how to use information and research design to determine health problems”.

IV. How to prepare for high school
Biology, Mathematics, Statistics help. If the target is Health Science / Popularization Health, it is recommended to develop basic material interpretation skills in high school; Statistical capacity is particularly important if we want to move ahead.
V. Common career and advancement
After the university degree, health research, public health, clinical research, health economics, government/NGO, also often links MPH, msc Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Global Health, Medicine, etc.
