Agrosultural Technology/Agrotechnology is not another name for traditional agricultural courses, but uses sensors, automation, robots, Drones, engineering and protection systems in plant, animal and agricultural environments.
I. What do you read mainly?
Wageningen's Agrotechnology solves problems with technological approach, nimal and living environment, and is directly used by the government as a representative of mainstream robots, Drones and sustainable regulation. Cornell CALS also lists AGRURAL Sciences, Animal Science, Biologic Engineering, among others, as a baccalaureate orientation in different universities, showing that agrotechnologies is an area that transcends engineering and life science.
II. Where's the difference with Agrultural Science?
Generally Science is generally broader and may include crops, soil, economics, sustainability and farm systems; Agrasultural Technology prefers engraining, automation, equipment, précision integration and digital strategies.
III. Where's the difference with Food Technology?
Wageningen makes a clear distinction: Agrotechnology prefers the front end of the production chain, such as the acquisition of robots and agricultural production; Food Technology prefers food processing, formulation, packaging and product development.
IV. What students are suitable for?
- I like technology, but I also care about food and the environment.
- Yes, robots, dones, sensors
- Willing to contact both physics, biology and engineering
- Interest in sustainable agriculture or sustainable agriculture
V. PREPARATION FOR APPLICATION
The upper secondary school stage recommends preparation for Mathematics, Physics, Biology/Chemitry. Attention should also be paid to the language of instruction: Agrotechnology bachelor of Wageningen is currently teaching Dutch, so international student selections must confirm the existence of a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
VI. Common career
Precious Studies, Agrologic Romanics, Farm Automation, AgTech Production Development, Greenhouse Technology, Sustainability Engineering, Agrocultural Systems, etc.
